Our members on an IEEE Mission in Sri Lanka
Only a few weeks after the IEEE Student and Young Professional Congress B&H 2019 in Banja Luka and the conclusion of the IEEE Innovation Nation 2019 program, our team continued their IEEE journey, but now in Sri Lanka.
Our Founder, Eddie Edhem Custovic, Board Member, Haris Selmanovic and SYPLC Member, Haris Arnautovic went to visit Sri Lanka last week where they had the opportunity to attend the IEE Sri Lanka Section Student / Young Professional / Women in Engineering Congress 2019 as well as the IEEE Innovation Nation 2019 Sri Lanka Grand Finale.
Something that started in a small country, Bosnia & Herzegovina, is now being implemented in Sri Lanka and soon other countries. As the founder of IEEE Innovation Nation, Eddie held a key-note presentation "How I built my global career with IEEE in less than 10 years" and awarded prizes for the best IEEE Innovation Nation teams. Also, both Haris’es shared their IEEE and professional journeys with the youth of Sri Lanka.
During their stay on the island, the trio recorded two videos for two major activities we implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the same time. As a reminder, we successfully kick-started one of the largest mentoring programs in the region and organized a Futures Networks event in Donji Vakuf where we announced amazing things for the youth of Donji Vakuf. Eddie, Haris and Haris played their part in all of that as well.
