"Last weekend I attended at the Futures Leaders Summit in Sarajevo. First of all, it was an excellent opportunity to meet new people, future engineers. We had the opportunity to listen to the inspiring speakers during the three days of the event."

"It was very inspiring and a wonderful to listen to very successful people from the region, whose presentations were equally interesting and instructive."

"It was a pleasure to be part of this story and I thank the organizers for the invitation. We got involved in the transformation of Bosnia and Herzegovina into a prosperous nation, and it's very important to us! The people here were an inspiration to us, and we hope that many of you will associate yourself with something similar."

During the FLS, the "Vera Šnajder" award ceremony took place. The two winners are Amina Tucak-Smajić, PhD, who is a Senior Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Sarajevo, and Emina Tahirović, Data Analyst at Atlant Bh.

"As a member of the academic community of the University of Sarajevo and doctoral students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, I am honored to receive the award with the name of the distinguished professor Vera Šnajder. This award will enable me to work on a scientific-research project to improve my intellectual work and produce knowledge in the field of gene therapy in nanotechnology, and present the results obtained within the project to some of the international scientific groups.", said Amina Tucak-Smajić.

The "Vera Šnajder" award was presented for the first time in 2021 in the organization of the BH Futures Foundation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Prof. Snajder was an incredible scientist who, through educational trips abroad, learned from them in the profession and brought all of that back to her country. She applied it in her clerical and academic work, and became the first woman in Yugoslavia to enshrine the role of dean.

"Being selected for the 'Vera Šnajder' award is a great honor for me. I am happy to see an opportunity to increase my contribution to science in BiH and continue my professional career. This award will certainly open many doors for me, and I will be glad to see it," said Emina Tahirović.

After amazing comments and all event feedback, the Futures Leaders Summit '23 is eagerly awaited.
