Connect and Grow: Eight scholars visit Vienna to learn from experts
From the 20th to the 24th of June, eight BHFF scholars got an opportunity to travel and visit Austria's largest city and its national capital: Vienna for the purposes of learning and connecting.
Our scholars (Zlata Jašarević, Esma Đulović, Lejla Ćehić, Habiba Ačkar, Nejla Trako, Lamija Murtagić, Emina Mešić, and Enisa Lišnjić) were able to visit Technical University of Vienna, the Vienna Museum of Science and Technology, Bosch and participated in a BH professionals networking event. Our scholars were informed about study abroad opportunities and had a personal look at how a large company such as Bosch has been running successfully for many years.
The Professionals Meetup event, which took place on June 23rd, was the main event in Vienna. Connecting the Bosnian professionals living and working in Vienna with scholars from the foundation. Our students absorbed as much knowledge and wisdom as possible from experts in various fields and different backgrounds.
Together with our hosts in Vienna, Emir Hadžiefendić, Armin Šestan, Selma Ćudić, and Zlatan Tucaković, we organized all of the student visits as well as the Meetup gathering. Another goal of the trip was connecting with our partnering organization, Business Women of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Building relationships with three of our scholars—who are also volunteers for this organization—played a significant role in this event. We genuinely appreciate the effort and work they have all put forth to make our students feel at home.
One of the primary objectives of the BH Futures Foundation is to network with peers and other professionals, as well as to forge deep connections with other institutions and organizations, possible for scholars. We work hard to provide our students with a wide variety of learning and exploration opportunities because we think that informal education and other kinds of experiences are equally as significant as formal education.
The foundation wants to sincerely thank our foundation ambassador Emir Hadžiefendić for coordinating and spearheading the activities in Vienna.
