Another insightful Girls’ Day at DKR!
On the 31st of October, DKR - German Center for Robotics hosted its annual Girls’ Day in collaboration with the BH Futures Foundation and FITT in Mejdan, Tuzla. Together, we prepared a special day filled with fabulous speakers from women around the globe.
The event fostered an environment where girls felt encouraged, motivated, and empowered to consider STEM as a viable and exciting career path.
Girls’ Day in DKR is a remarkable initiative designed to inspire, educate, and empower young women to pursue STEM careers and reach for their dreams. It brings together a diverse group of female students, high schoolers, and accomplished women in STEM, who are passionate about creating opportunities for the next generation of female leaders.
We met with over 200 young women who wanted to learn new and innovative approaches to STEM and other communities.
Our remarkable speakers, who have achieved great success in these diverse fields, came to teach a valuable lesson to female students: with the right dedication and motivation, anything is possible.
We heard amazing stories from:
Ida Fazlić, The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility
Valerija Ereš, ZenDev
Azra Šišić Aljić, HTEC Group
Sara Vanovac, California Institute of Technology
After enjoying more than two hours of engaging talks and presentations, our attendees acquired a plethora of insights and connected with numerous people from the event.
The attendees also had an opportunity to learn about the Foundation, our upcoming events and applied for the Futures Leaders Summit Student+ Grant. For more information about the event, click on the previous link.
Thank you, DKR, for giving female students of Tuzla and further this incredible opportunity to connect and learn from one another.
