Three of Our Scholars Embrace Innovation at Network Conference in Neum
Three of our dedicated scholars, Ajdni Mehmedović, Dženan Mehmedović, and Dino Burić, had the incredible opportunity to attend the recent conference, immersing themselves in impactful sessions and networking with industry leaders.
Navigating the Future of Technology: Insights from the NetWork IT Conference:
Our Scholar Dino was particularly amazed by a demonstration where Paula Januszkiewicz, CEO at CQURE, bypassed Microsoft Authenticator's 2FA. This hands-on example highlighted the evolving challenges in cybersecurity and reinforced the importance of staying ahead in security measures.
Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals, Denis Mušić and Jasmin Azemović provided an in-depth look into the workings behind small language models. They shared best practices for utilizing AI effectively while Almir Vuk introduced us to .NET Aspire, an application stack designed to improve the experience of building cloud-native applications.
Adis Jugo's session was incredibly helpful in clearing up my confusion about building a SaaS product effectively. He discussed common challenges and situations we might encounter and provided strategies for overcoming them. He also kept the audience engaged with humor by using funny Asterix and Obelix comic pages.
Another intriguing aspect of the NetWork IT Conference was learning about the digitalization laws in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was eye-opening to see how much progress has been made, yet how far we still are from establishing a completely digital system. This insight into the legal and infrastructural landscape added depth to the conference experience.
“Alongside the knowledge gained, I had the privilege of meeting amazing people from my industry, fostering connections that will undoubtedly enhance my professional network and open doors for future collaboration. Oh, and I also had the chance to learn how to play golf for the first time in my life” - said Dino.
Dženan had the incredible opportunity to witness some of the most powerful discussions and demonstrations in the ever-evolving world of technology. NetWork 12 for him was more than a conference; it was an innovation incubator, a networking hub, and a showcase of the forward momentum driving the IT industry.
One of Dženans best moments came from Paula Januszkiewicz, who demonstrated how to bypass two-factor authentication in Microsoft Authenticator. Her clear and immediate illustration of today’s cybersecurity threats emphasized the urgent need for innovative and robust security measures across all platforms. With cybersecurity evolving at breakneck speed, her talk underscored the importance of staying one step ahead of potential threats.
The cybersecurity theme continued with Ana Mihalj’s in-depth session on ransomware. Her talk provided practical advice on how to protect against this growing menace, a timely reminder that vigilance and preparation are key to securing our digital futures.
Equally impressive was Almir Vuk’s passion for .NET Aspire, which was evident as he guided attendees through the journey of creating cloud-native applications. His enthusiasm was contagious, inspiring many of us to consider new avenues in cloud technology development.
Dragan Panjkov, provided a fascinating outlook on Microsoft 365 Copilot, exploring the future of AI-driven productivity. His insights painted a compelling picture of what AI could soon bring to our workplaces, fueling the excitement around a more connected and efficient future.
The conference also brought us insights into e-commerce trends within Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanks to Luca Cassati. He provided a balanced analysis of both the challenges and opportunities in the e-commerce industry, highlighting the pivotal role of digital transformation in the country’s economic landscape.
Beyond these invaluable presentations, NetWork 12 was an opportunity for attendees to build networks, collaborate, and share knowledge on the latest IT challenges. “Many of us made new connections and found ourselves inspired by the collective brilliance and forward-thinking of our peers.”
“As the event wrapped up, I couldn’t help but feel a renewed sense of motivation. NetWork 12 was a testament to the power of human ingenuity and collaboration, reminding us that the future of tech is bright, bold, and brimming with potential.”
We are deeply grateful to our Foundation for supporting our participation and empowering us with this valuable learning experience.
