Our Junior Scholar Lamija Imamović at Sarajevo Energy and Climate Week (SECW)
Last week, Lamija Imamović, a dedicated Junior Scholar at Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation , had the opportunity to volunteer at the prestigious Sarajevo Energy and Climate Week (SECW). This international event, held from September 23-27, 2024, brought together over 1000 participants, including ministers, EU representatives, and global energy and climate experts, to discuss the decarbonization of the energy sector and a just energy transition.
Through her engagement with BHFF, Lamija actively contributed to the event's success while gaining valuable insights into the latest developments in energy and climate policy. She especially appreciated the panels on energy development in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and how these topics are shaping the future of the region.
Reflecting on her experience, Lamija shared:
"It was an inspiring experience, with the chance to listen to panels of my choice. I especially enjoyed the discussions on development and energy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the region. It’s always motivating to hear from experts and be part of conversations that shape our future."
Lamija’s involvement at SECW highlights BHFF’s ongoing efforts to provide scholars with opportunities to engage in critical global issues, fostering a generation of future leaders ready to take on complex challenges. We are proud of Lamija’s contribution and look forward to her continued growth in the fields of energy and technology.
