BH Futures Team Building: A Look Back at December 21-22

On December 21st and 22nd, the BH Futures Foundation brought together its dedicated volunteers for an engaging two-day team-building event held at the SHL House organized by our Events Team. This gathering was an opportunity to connect, strategize, and strengthen bonds across various teams as they prepared for an exciting 2025.

Day 1: Strategy and Connection

The event began on December 21st, with attendees arriving at SHL House by 10:00 AM. After settling in, the day unfolded with a blend of productive discussions and enjoyable activities.

Lunch & Internal Team Meetings

The group enjoyed lunch from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, fueling up for the afternoon ahead. The focus then shifted to the Internal Team Meeting sessions. Each team gathered to discuss key topics and plan their strategies for the upcoming year. These meetings provided a space for open communication, idea-sharing, and future-focused planning, ensuring alignment across the Foundation’s efforts.

Team-Building Activities & Evening Fun

As the evening occured, participants engaged in dynamic team-building activities that focused on collaboration and problem-solving. Dinner was served afterward, offering a moment of relaxation and connection over good food.

The night concluded with optional activities tailored to different interests. Some attendees opted for a cozy movie night, while others laced up their skates for some fun on the ice. From 10:00 PM onward, free time allowed everyone to unwind in their own way, deepening personal connections within the group.

Day 2: Bonding Through Games

Sunday, December 22nd, began with a breakfast at 10:00 AM. The morning’s highlight was a spirited session of board games starting at 11:00 AM.

Fostering Connection and Purpose

This team-building event was a gathering with a deliberate effort to strengthen relationships within and across teams while reinforcing individual roles and responsibilities. By blending structured planning sessions with engaging activities, our Events Team successfully created an environment of trust, collaboration, and shared purpose.

As the Foundation moves into 2025, the bonds formed and the plans made during this weekend will contribute to continued success in achieving its mission.
