San Francisco-Bay Area Meetup a big success

On February 22nd, the Bosnia & Herzegovina professional community gathered in Sunnyvale, in the heart of Silicon Valley, for a afternoon of networking, knowledge sharing, and reconnecting with our roots. With over 30 attendees from diverse industries, the event highlighted the strength and success of Bosnians in the Bay Area.

Given that Silicon Valley is the global hub of innovation and technology, it was no surprise that many of the attendees were experts in engineering, AI, cybersecurity, and software development, working at some of the most renowned tech companies. However, the meetup also welcomed professionals from finance, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and other fields, making it a truly multidisciplinary gathering.

What made this event even more special was the presence of multiple generations of Bosnians—from those who immigrated to the U.S., bringing their expertise and ambition, to first-generation Bosnian-Americans, who are carrying forward the spirit of innovation and excellence. This blend of experiences and perspectives made for engaging discussions on career growth, community building, and opportunities for collaboration.

The gathering was a testament to the power of community, connection, and shared identity, proving once again that no matter where we are in the world, Bosnians continue to thrive, innovate, and support one another. We have agreed to organise another meetup and sustain the networking.

A big thank you to everyone who joined—we look forward to many more meetups in the future!
