Scholar Hana Brkić and our Founder spoke about the BH Futures Foundation community
BH Futures Foundation had the honor of being featured on the sehurski program "Zapostimo Zajedno" on RTV BIR, where our scholar Hana Brkić shared her inspiring journey and experiences with the Foundation. The theme of this episode, "Bosniak Stars on the Global Horizon," highlighted young talents making significant strides worldwide.
Hana, a psychology student at the International University of Sarajevo and a proud BH Futures Foundation scholar, spoke about the impact the Foundation has had on her personal and academic development. Reflecting on her journey, she recalled discovering the Foundation’s fellowship opportunity after finishing high school.
Hana shared more about her initial experience with the Foundation. “After finishing high school, I saw the call for scholarships from BH Futures Foundation. The application process involved multiple steps leading to an interview. In the meantime, I was informed that I had passed, and, thank God, I never doubted myself for a moment on that path. It is a very inspiring community with a unique working program. It’s interesting to be connected with many people similar to yourself, whose presence alone motivates you to continue progressing. The Foundation makes great efforts to push individual limits and help shape perspectives on life and career plans through various projects,” she stated.
She further focused on how the Foundation continuously pushes individuals to expand their limits and shape their future through various projects. “It helps shape perspectives on life and career paths, providing invaluable support through mentorship and networking,” she added.
Hana also spoke about the importance of self-improvement and seizing opportunities, particularly in Bosnia and Herzegovina. “For those willing to work on themselves, opportunities do exist. It’s about searching in the right places and recognizing your strengths to maximize your potential,” she shared.
Alongside Hana, BH Futures Foundation’s founder, Dr. Edhem Čustović, participated in the program, reinforcing the importance of showcasing the success of young talents and creating more opportunities for future generations.
“The most important thing is to show the world who you are at your core and what you want to achieve in life,” said Dr. Čustović. He also emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina has an abundance of talented individuals who excel both locally and internationally, proving that with the right support and opportunities, young people can make a difference on a global scale.
