Memorandum with Swiss based i-platform signed to expand mentoring programme

In the digital age, the fast transfer of ideas enables the cooperation of leading minds from around the world. Why not include students from Bosnia in Herzegovina in that process?

Aiming to transfer the knowledge of leading diaspora-based experts to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Futures Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with i-platform, based in Switzerland. The Memorandum will enable the strengthening of the foundation’s mentorship program.

i-platform supports and promotes the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina by connecting the Bosnian and Herzegovinian diaspora in Switzerland, gathering and exchanging information, connecting stakeholders from both countries, creating synergies, supporting and promoting initiatives that contribute to the development of social, economic and cultural processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

''i-platform becomes the foundation's partner in strengthening our mentorship program. Many experts from diverse fields who are part of i-platform will now be able to mentor students from BiH,“ said BHFF founder Edhem Eddie Čustović.

Nikola Burić, i-platform education and science project coordinator, said that the ''knowledge and experience of people from our part of the world, who happen to live in every corner of the globe, amounts to priceless potential and resource which is only waiting to be recognised and utilised“.

''Furthermore, I am sure that people living in the Balkans, particularly the youth, are capable of taking on new ideas, strengthening their knowledge and taking responsibility for creating a better present while aiming towards a brighter future.“

Fourty seven mentors from 24 countries as well as 60 students are part of the foundation's mentorship program. Since its beginnings, the program has achieved internationally recognised results – a few months after the program's inception, five students did work experience in a foreign country on the recommendation or guidance of their mentors.

''Working with i-platform will enable students from BiH to learn from a greater number of diaspora-based experts. By actively expanding our cooperation with organisations worldwide, the foundation aims to connect as many young people as possible with world leaders in the areas of business, science and technology,“ Čustović said.

U digitalnom dobu, brza razmjena ideja omogućava jednostavnu saradnju vrhunskih stručnjaka iz cijelog svijeta. Zašto takvu mogućnost ne pružiti i bh. studentima?

S ciljem transfera znanja stručnjaka iz dijaspore u BiH, Fondacija budućnosti u Bosni i Hercegovini potpisala je Memorandum o saradnji sa i-platformom, organizacijom sa sjedištem u Švicarskoj, s kojom će sarađivati u jačanju mentorskog programa.

i-platforma podržava i podstiče razvoj Bosne i Hercegovine uvezivanjem bh. dijaspore u Švicarskoj, prikupljanjem i razmjenom informacija, povezivanjem aktera iz obje zemlje, stvaranjem sinergija, podsticajem i promoviranjem inicijativa koje doprinose razvoju socijalnih, ekonomskih i kulturnih procesa u Bosni i Hercegovini.

“i-platforma postaje partner Fondacije u proširivanju našeg mentorskog programa. Brojni stručnjaci iz različitih oblasti koji sarađuju sa i-platformom tako će postajati mentori bh. studentima”, rekao je osnivač Fondacije Edhem Eddie Čustović.

Nikola Burić, projektni koordinator i-platforme za obrazovanje i nauku, kazao je kako su „znanje i iskustvo ljudi porijeklom sa naših prostora, koji spletom okolnosti žive širom planete, neprocjenjiv potencijal i resurs, koji samo čeka da bude prepoznat i iskorišten”.

„Takođe sam ubijeđen da su ljudi koji žive na Balkanu, prvenstveno mladi, sposobni da usvoje nova znanja, izgrade i ojačaju sopstvene kapacitete, kao i da preuzmu odgovornost za stvaranje ljepše i bolje sadašnjosti, pogleda usmjerenog u svjetliju budućnost”, istakao je Burić.

U mentorski program Fondacije do sada je uključeno 47 mentora iz 24 države te 60 studenata. Od samog početka, program ostvaruje zapažene rezultate – u prvih nekoliko mjeseci njegovog postojanja pet studenata pohađalo je radnu praksu u drugoj državi po preporuci ili uz nadzor mentora.

„Saradnja s i-platformom omogućit će bh. studentima da uče od još većeg broja stručnjaka iz dijaspore. Aktivnim širenjem saradnje s organizacijama diljem svijeta, Fondacija želi umrežiti što više mladih sa svjetskim liderima u oblastima biznisa, nauke i tehnologije”, rekao je Čustović.
