Four recipients of the 13th International Conference on Compressors and their Systems

The stage is set for an exceptional gathering of minds at the upcoming 13th International Conference on Compressors and their Systems, to be held in the heart of London.

This prestigious event, known for its ability to bring together industry experts, researchers, and enthusiasts from across the globe, is poised to welcome four exceptional individuals whose passion and expertise in the field of compressors have earned them coveted spots as conference attendees.

The conference, renowned for its contributions to the advancement of compressor technology and systems, has granted attendance to four outstanding recipients from our country: Amina Mević, Ibrahim Salihović, Adna Peco, and Dino Šabeta.

Each recipient brings a unique perspective and a profound dedication to their respective fields

Now, let’s learn more about our recipients:

A rising star in Mechanical Engineering, Dino Šabeta, a master's student at the Mechanical Engineering University of Sarajevo, has been selected for his extensive knowledge and skills in energy systems. Dino's master's thesis, centered around the subject of heat pumps, aligns seamlessly with the conference's focus on compressors.

In his words, "The knowledge I will gain at this conference is of great importance and I can use it for my master's thesis." Dino's enthusiasm for learning from industry experts and his passion for the field make him an inspiring addition to the conference's cohort.

Hailing from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adna Peco's attendance at the conference is a testament to her commitment to innovation. Grateful for the sponsorship from the Centre for Compressor Technology at City, University of London, as well as the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation, Adna aims to showcase that even smaller countries can make significant contributions. She plans to leverage the knowledge gained at the conference to advance compressor systems in her home country and foster innovation on a global scale.

A beacon of ambition, Ibrahim Salihović is poised to make the most of this invaluable opportunity to enhance his engineering skills and expand his network. He is a forth year mechanical engineering student at the International University of Sarajevo, and a 2-year student at the Faculty of Philosophy with a double major: Arabic and French language and literature. Coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ibrahim sees the conference as a platform to connect with industry experts and fellow engineers, contributing to personal growth and advancements in his home country. Ibrahim's dedication to progress aligns perfectly with the conference's ideals.

Amina Mević, an esteemed teaching assistant and science communicator, brings a unique perspective to the conference. She is excited about the potential to enrich her teaching with real-world examples from the industry, and she plans to share her experiences and inspiring stories from the conference with her students. Amina's commitment to education and sustainable progress resonates deeply with the conference's ethos.

The 13th International Conference on Compressors and their Systems promises to be a gathering of passionate individuals, all driven by a common purpose: to advance knowledge, foster innovation, and create lasting connections within the field of compressor technology.

A massive shoutout to City, the University of London for creating such an amazing opportunity for the students of Bosnia and Herzegovina, alongside the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ANUBIH), and to Mr. Jack Sauls, one of the excellent engineers in compressor technology who provided funds for 3 more students, but sadly the third one could not attend due to issues with visa.

As these four exceptional individuals prepare to join the conference in London, the global community eagerly anticipates the insights, collaborations, and contributions that will undoubtedly rise from this exceptional event.
