BH Futures Foundation in Chicago!
On the 24th of August, BH Futures Foundation hosted a networking event attended by around 30 individuals in Chicago, USA. Those individuals connected to Bosnia and Herzegovina were representatives and/or supports of different organizations, which are operating in the USA with the aim to support the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Through networking and formal presentations, the attendees learned about how we empowering and transform the lives of youth in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Our founder Eddie Custovic had a chance to present his story and share what has driven him for last 4 years since he decided to commit his time to the youth in BIH. Talking about the initial idea, the vision that followed and moving towards concrete results gave an insight into the impact the Foundation has made in the last few years.
Milan Kusmuk, talking in the name of scholars, presented with a lot of passion how BH Futures Foundation influenced his professional career and helped him turn the obstacles he faced into a learning opportunity.
Promoting core values of unity and tolerance among people with different backgrounds was again in focus. Lawyers, students, professors, philanthropists and many other Bosnian supporters had a chance to network and meet like minded people.
We are very happy knowing that organizations like Bosnian American Professionals Association, Bosnian and Herzegovinian Diasporic Conference and others, represented by Jasmina Vajzovic/McIntos and Ida and Tea Sefer saw the value in our work and showed interest in developing partnerships.
Thank you all for your attendance and we are very grateful for all your kind donations and messages from those who couldn’t attend. We are looking forward to seeing you and working with you again.
