Celebrating Our Scholars’ Passion Projects
It is with great pride and excitement that we congratulate the 8 teams who have successfully completed their passion projects!
These scholars have shown tremendous dedication, creativity, and teamwork throughout their endeavors.
For the second year, our Junior scholars have a special opportunity to implement a project that will influence their surroundings.
They are local initiative projects developed, written, implemented, and reported by each Scholar team with the support of us, the BH Futures Foundation.
Now, let’s take a closer look at the remarkable achievements of each team.
First and foremost, we applaud the Futures Giants team, consisting of Amina Čehaja, Andrej Madunić, and Iman Korić Hasanović. They kickstarted their project, Futures Tea Talks, which aimed to bridge the gap between professionals from various fields and young individuals in Sarajevo.
Through networking sessions, they provided students with valuable insights and information about different career paths, empowering them to make informed decisions about their future.
The Futures Changemakers team, comprised of Asja Hadžić, Elma Alić, Almedin Mešić, and Alejna Hodžić, organized the IT Weekend Project in Tuzla.
They went above and beyond by teaching high school students about Arduino, Machine Learning, and C++, equipping them with essential skills for the technology-driven world.
Kudos to the Futures Motivators team, including Ajla Korman, Hanah Sijerčić, Selma Hrustić, Lamija Muratagić, and Emir Kugić, for their innovative creation.
They designed a handheld device that simulates the Braille alphabet, catering to the needs of blind and partially sighted individuals. Their functional device has the potential to make a positive impact on the lives of many, and we eagerly await further improvements to enhance its usability.
The Futures Ops team, led by Haris Gusić and Omar Žunić, with support from Melissa Memic and Karla - Kristina Škegro, tackled the challenge of improving public transport tracking through a hardware solution.
Their dedication to enhancing the commuting experience for everyone is truly commendable.
We extend our appreciation to the Futures Power team, consisting of Ena Milković, Iman Ahmić, Lejla Breščić, and Imana Alibašić.
They developed a comprehensive web page that caters to students' needs, offering information about accommodation, study places, and prices for various services. Their project aims to make students' lives easier and more enjoyable.
The Futures Renewergy team, led by Dženana Damadžić and Tarik Muratovic, organized workshops on renewable energy sources in Tuzla.
High school students had the opportunity to work on a Solar Tracking System using Arduino. By promoting sustainable energy solutions, they contribute to a greener future.
Congratulations to the Futures Visionaries team, with members Surejja Alibegović and Nedžma Brkić. They dedicated their efforts to creating an online shop for organic products made in their country. Their project supports local farmers and promotes healthy, organic living.
Last but not least, the Futures Wave team, comprising Hanan Velić, Irma Redžić, and Amina Hadžiemrić, organized an event to promote a healthy lifestyle among university students in Sarajevo. Their initiative fosters physical and mental well-being, emphasizing the importance of self-care.
Out of the initial 12 Passion Project teams, we applaud these eight teams for not only persevering but also achieving a significant portion of their goals.
The commitment, unity, and hard work demonstrated by these scholars exemplify the positive aspects of teamwork and serve as an inspiration to others.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all the Passion Projects Mentors who provided guidance and support throughout the journey.
Emina Mešić, Luka Čakarević, Amer Pašanbegović, Elvira Delić, Haris Kordić, Ilma Spahic, Ajdina Aličić, Jana Jerkić, Lejla Ćehić, and a special mention to Enisa Lišnjić, whose invaluable assistance resolved communication issues and played a crucial role in the progress achieved by these teams. Your dedication and guidance were instrumental in the success of these passion projects.
We hope that these passion projects will serve as a springboard for future initiatives and that the scholars involved will be motivated to further improve their projects.
Your individual efforts have the power to bring about meaningful change in our society.
