Earlier this week our Foundation Founder Eddie Custovic and Board Member Damir Mitric visited Perth in Western Australia. They were invited by the Bosnia Youth Network of Perth to attend the screening of the documentary film Return to Bosnia which was followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

During the Q&A they had the opportunity to discuss with an engaged audience ways in which the diaspora can improve the political, social and economic situation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a way that allows people to heal from the traumas of the recent war. In this context, they had the opportunity to introduce to the audience our mission of empowering young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina through education, technology and global leadership.

The discussion was followed by a productive networking session with the Bosnia Youth Network of Perth leadership team, whose mission is to preserve Bosnian culture and language in the Australian diaspora, but also to support their homeland through philanthropy.

We are pleased to announce that as a result of this we are planning our first collaborative fundraising event to be held in early 2020 in Perth. We would like to thank our new friends for their enthusiasm and support and look forward to the next steps.
