During our new Mentorship program, organised in cooperation with MarketMakers, we had an opportunity to meet talented young leaders who are making an impact in our society with their great work. One of them is Nejra Mesić, a mentee in our Mentorship program. Besides hard work she is doing as a part of her mentorship process, Nejra won a prize for her idea to support women in their business during the virus COVID-19 organised by BOLD.BA - B&H Young Leaders organisation.

Nejra applied with the idea for online education for business women and entrepreneurs who have been severely affected by the virus COVID-19.

“It is my pleasure to be a member of the Women United Association. Our aim is to use all our potential to support and empower young Bosnian and Herzegovinian women. A young leaders’ network called BOLD has recognised the quality of the idea that we want to implement and decided to support a project we created. All our members will directly benefit from the project. I am happy to know that soon we will have our own online learning platform. Our diversity is what makes us rich if we are united.” - Nejra said about her prize.

Nejra Mesić was born in Bihać and finished her Primary and Secondary School for electrical engineering in Cazin as a top class student. At Teacher training college in Bihać she successfully defended her thesis on the subject: "Development of the software used to help the children with difficulties in mathematics" and successfully became bachelor of mathematics and informatics. She is a winner of many awards and acknowledgments. After getting her degree she worked in elementary and secondary school, city radio station and as the external associate on the faculty. In Academic 2019/2020 she became an assistant at the Electrotechnical department of the Faculty of Engineering in Bihać. Currently, she is in her postgraduate study, Digital Broadcasting and Broadband Technology. Her areas of research interests include web programming, machine learning and broadband technologies.
