Celebrating Research Excellence: 3MT 2024 Winners Announced

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 2024 Online Award Ceremony took place on June 15th, 2024, showcasing the extraordinary talent of undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. candidates from across the globe. This year's competition was marked by groundbreaking research presentations that captivated both the expert panel and public audiences.

Winner Ph.D. Category: Emina Učambarlić, Winner Masters Category Faruk Gutić, Winner Bachelor Category Saliha Mustafić

Keynote Presentation

The ceremony featured a keynote address by Prof. Thomas Vogl from the Medical University Vienna, titled "Deciphering Human Antibody Repertoires Against the Microbiome in Health and Disease." Prof. Vogl's insights into cutting-edge medical research set a high tone for the event.

Competition Highlights

This year's competition saw 29 outstanding candidates presenting their innovative research in just three minutes, a testament to their ability to communicate complex ideas succinctly and engagingly. The significance of the 3MT competition lies in its encouragement of young researchers to hone their communication skills, making their work accessible to a broader audience.

Judging and Awards

The competitors were evaluated by an Expert Panel, as well as through YouTube votes, which concluded on June 9th, 2024.

The 3MT 2024 Competition had a prize pool of 16.500 BAM in total, and it was sponsored by Bosnian-Hezergovinian American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Scientific Instruments Australia, ZenDev, Gladstone d.o.o. Croatia, and the  BH Futures Foundation.
