50 young people from all over Bosnia & Herzegovina have been selected to participate in the most comprehensive innovation & entrepreneurship training program, “Innovation Nation”. After months of preparations & applications, the program finally kicked off with a live 2 day event in Sarajevo.

Day 1 - Mistral

We kicked the program off with a face to face event with inspirational presentation from program partners. Presenters spoke about their personal entrepreneurial journeys, challenges, lessons learned and general tips on how to make the most of the learning experience.

In the evening, we organised an entrepreneurship meetup, that allowed program participants, speakers and other guests to interact, get to know each other, plan and discuss amazing ideas. All this took place with an amazing view on the rooftop of Mistral’s building. Thank you Mistral for the amazing hosting & hospitality.

Day 2 - Mozaik Startup Studio

Day two commenced with the first workshop that was focused on team formation, leadership styles, team structures and how to make a team effective. The workshop was run by Timur Hukic (program coordinator), Ena Dzemila, Elvis Skozdopolj and Nadja Zubcevic (teaching assistant and program alumni).

About Innovation Nation

Innovation Nation is a program designed to provide the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills in parallel to designing an innovative new product based on the Stanford Design Thinking Model. During this 12 week program, young professionals will be formed into interdisciplinary teams, and tasked with developing an innovative new product that aligns with a well defined challenge and customer base.

Innovation Nation is a program designed in partnership between IEEE, the world’s largest professional organisation, La Trobe University Australia and Bosnia & Herzegovina Futures Foundation. The 2021 program is being delivered by the above institution and MIT Legatum Centre. Platinum partners of the program are: Mistral, ZenDev, Proton Kapital, SEEEBA, GIST and Mozaik Foundation.
