Mugdim Đuliman - Super Scholar organizing clean up actions
We are happy to announce that Mugdim Đuliman, one of our students who joined the Foundation in April this year, is an active member of Let’s do it BiH where contributes a lot to organization and coordination of clean-up actions. He has already participated in one such action recently and below is his great experience.
“On 21st September 2019, we held one clean-up event in the nearby of main Train Station of Sarajevo. It was amazing to see 220 citizens taking part in this action, helping selflessly so that no harmful matter would be left after us.
Whit this years’ slogan "Budi neko, budi #herojEKO", we tried to empower young people to be the change we surely need and to contribute our part to nature.
The gathering started at 8:30 AM, and about an hour later we already had teams distributed to few locations: towards Velešići, in the Campus of the University of Sarajevo and my team that was heading toward Hastahana park.
My colleague Arnela and I were coordinating students of Fourth Gymnasium from Ilidža.”
I was delighted to have such a team of students who decided to give their free Saturday as a gift to nature, and who were excellent in every other sense. True little superheroes!
I have indeed spent a great Saturday there, and throughout Let's Do It project I have also developed skills necessary for my career in the future. Fear of other people's opinion and free of unknown are usually fettering our development.
The goal of this event was to raise ecological awareness in citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I think we were successful in achieving such thing since I was very pleased with our organization that day, and with our social engagement.
I am using this chance to invite young people to join us on our next eco-event: 1 Million Seedlings in One Day, that will be held on 19th October 2019 (Saturday). The gathering is planned at 9 AM in front of Zetra, from where we will travel by buses to our exact location of the plantation.”
We at Bosnia and Herzegovina Futures Foundation are very proud and happy because of such great initiative and action that our scholar Mugdim participated at. We congratulate to him and his colleagues and to all young people that gave their best to clean-up the nature on 21st September and wish them the best luck in future projects and activities.
