Forum in Vienna was fantastic!
Another great event is behind us, the energy we get with networking from our diaspora is always something special. On Wednesday, more than 150 successful Bosnians from Austria, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, and B&H gathered in Vienna for a business networking forum for professionals, entrepreneurs, company representatives and students.
The forum had a goal to connect our diaspora with companies, students and professionals from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our partners in the organization were B&H Business Women Association and Diaspora4Development.
His Excellency Kemal Kozaric, Ambassador of our country to Austria, and Kemo Sarač, Assistant to the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of B&H, honored us with their presence.
More than 170,000 BiH citizens live and work in Austria, and more than 3,000 students from BiH study at Austrian universities, to which many of them are the best, which makes me extremely proud. The connection between Diaspora and BiH citizens is very important and I fully support this networking project. I want to tell young people to educate themselves because educated people are the most important factor for the prosperity of the country, so I will quote Nelson Mandela who said, "Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world." Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country with a lot of potential, and as an ambassador of our homeland in Austria, I would like to emphasize that the economic cooperation between these two friendly countries is at a high level. As you know, Austria is the largest investor in BiH with around € 1.3 trillion, and with 200 companies from different sectors that see our country as a good place for investment - said Kozaric.
Representatives of companies DKR German Robotics Centre, Softhouse Consulting, JSGuru, Atlantbh, Bawag P.S.K , Jamax and iPlatform presented their own portfolio and offered possible opportunities for cooperation. The attendees were also greeted by Makus Flanz, the mayor of Vienna's 10th district.
- Our municipality has the most representatives of foreigners in the entire Vienna, including 15,000 Bosnians. They are integrated into Austrian culture, especially women, and I am very proud of that - said Flanz.
More than 1.5 million citizens, originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including a large number of highly educated and influential professionals, live and work in many countries around the world. That is why the aim of our Foundation is to provide young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina with access to quality education, modern technologies and opportunities for leadership development through events of this kind.
