November and December were reserved for the implementation of the “BH Engineering Weeks 2019” project, that was organized by BH Futures Foundation and BH Engineering Weeks , and during which students and members of the Foundation actively participated as volunteers and members of the organizing committee at conferences and similar events, both in large and major cities across BiH and in their home cities as well.

Our brilliant scholar and volunteer Rijad Sarić undertook another international research experience, this time at La Trobe Innovation & Entrepreneurship Foundry (LIEF) in Melbourne, Australia.

The three days-long congress gathered world-class experts, ambitious and enthusiastic students, professors and people from academy, engineering, technology, business and media, who witnessed very interesting and rich program.

At the beginning of November, we announced the second intake of scholars for this year. Since we are growing as a Foundation in every sense, the number of scholarship applications we receive grows as well. Dozens of bright young people applied and we had a tough time picking out the best of the best. 

An interactive hands-on "Arduino for Beginners" workshop was held in Zavidovici on November 16, which aimed to introduce high school students to the world of programming and electronics. The workshop was held within the Informatics classroom at the gymnasium “Rizah Odzecic” by BH Futures Foundation's outreach program team.

We want to express our gratitude to Mr. Namik Hrle, who managed to find time for our scholar and motivate them with his meaningful words. We claim that, while there are such individuals who have a desire to sit and talk to young people, give them directions for success, the future of our country will be bright.

Our scholar Ivana Čulić was given the opportunity to visit The world No. 1 trade fair for plastics and rubber in Dusseldorf, K2019. The fair is held every 3 years, and that is why all the biggest companies are preparing their innovations and products for it. This year's motto was: Plastics shape future and hot topics were Circular economy, Plastics industry 4.0 and Renewable energy. 

Has anyone ever asked you about your goals, plans and wishes you want to fulfil before you become 88 years old? Well, the answer is most possibly ‘No!’. However, it was one of the first questions for our 13 scholars who attended the Breakfast and Meeting with Mr. Sejo Jahić on last Friday morning.

Hello, my name is Almedin Beganović and I am the first-year student of Information Technology at International Burch University in Sarajevo. During the last month my team and I traveled over 1500km all around BIH to educate youth about 3D printing and 3D modeling, but also to teach them to apply gained knowledge on solving problems.  Workshops were held in 5 cities, with 5 hosts and partners.

Germany has the largest BiH diaspora and we welcomed a large group of diverse, open and authentic professionals on this rainy Sunday afternoon in Restaurant Sarajevo traveling from Cologne, Dortmund, Nijmegen (Holland) and other key cities. Our friends from the Pangea-Netwerk made time to join to further collaborate and build synergies.
